In simpler words, it is the boundary line where a soil goes from acting like moldable clay to acting like thick, runny mud. 4 Main Reasons Why We Test the Liquid Limit To Predict Soil Failure (Landslides and Settling): If a heavy structure is built on soil that gets close to its Liquid Limit, the soil will lose its strength and start to flow.
